How Does CBD Make You Feel?

CBD is one of the biggest mystery plants in the world right now. So many people are asking questions like, “How does CBD make me feel”?  “Does CBD make me high”? “are there multiple strains and will they affect me differently”? Find out how CBD could affect you and what benefits you might get out of using CBD.

Just The Right Amount

Taking too little CBD may have little to no effect on you. Additionally, the multiple ways you can use CBD– as a cream, oil, capsule, or sublingually (under the tongue) — can change how your body absorbs it and how it makes you feel.

Many people who consume CBD give positive feedback about CBD after using it. They have made claims that CBD helps them to feel relaxed and calm. Almost as if a burden were lifted off their shoulders. Almost as if they had been carrying around weight for so long that they forgot how heavy it was.

But while some get a wonderful experience from CBD, not everyone does. Some people have a hard time understanding the feeling that they are supposed to receive from CBD. It is more likely that you’ll experience a sense of calm or relaxation. You might notice that your stress levels are dropping, but it might be slow and subtle.

Your Experiences

Each person will experience the effects of CBD a little differently. How CBD affects you will depend on the dose and frequency with which you take CBD, your diet, and what you have eaten before you take CBD, as well as your metabolism, weight, and any other medical conditions you have.

CBD oil has gotten a reputation as a “cure-all” miracle plant. Which is patently false.  But scientific studies have people use the extract to help with joint/arthritis pain, anxiety, and depression. One of the major benefits of CBD oil is that it has anti-inflammatory properties. The anti-inflammatory properties do amazing things for your body. It can help your skin with eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, and other inflammatory skin conditions.

CBD hemp oil is frequently used to help conditions like arthritis, chronic pain, and back pain for the anti-inflammatory properties. CBD oil can also help treat the symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis or MS. It has been tested to have a positive effect on the serotonin receptors in the brain, affecting the emotional state and feeling of well-being which is helpful for depression. CBD oil is a fast-acting way to treat the physical symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks.

So, no CBD is not just weed. CBD works physically with the body, it has no psychoactive or intoxicating effects, whereas THC gives you a “high”. The best comparison I have heard for CBD oil and imagine going out with your friends to get a drink, but you are the caretaker and will drive everyone home later. You still crave a beer but are responsible and cannot. CBD is like taking a drink of non-alcoholic beer. While THC is just having a normal beer.

There are so many advantages to using CBD oil that at the very least, it is worth learning more about.

As far as what CBD oil feels like, every person has a different perspective on that, so I decided to learn more about how it affects both myself and those around me.

CBD has had a positive impact on their daily routines. For others, however, CBD remains somewhat of a mystery. One customer, John, said, “I have used your CBD oil and feel no discernable difference. I don’t get it.” This is not terribly uncommon, unfortunately. While we recommend following the directions for use, because everyone is different, you might find some variations that work best for you.

Why Does Cannabis Affect Each Of Us So Differently?

There are several factors that come into play when referring to the cannabis experience.

How many times have you heard that “weed is just weed” and people who talk about the different effects of cannabis should stop overcomplicating things?

Such one-dimensional perception of this subject is not only scientifically wrong but also a short-sighted approach to cannabis — a plant whose complexity has been puzzling researchers for centuries.

  1. Genetics

Our genes determine how we respond to different stimuli — including the active compounds of cannabis (THC and CBD) [1].

When it comes to the relationship between humans and cannabis, scientists estimate that around 20% of the U.S. adult population has a unique genetic mutation resulting in increased levels of their body’s endocannabinoids.

If you’re in that 20%, you’ll most likely be less prone to experiencing THC-induced anxiety but you’ll also be less reactive to the effects of THC and CBD in general; that’s because your body already produces high concentrations of its cannabinoids.

  1. Your Gender

People are crazy about gender equality these days. Yet, the compounds in cannabis pay no attention to your gender. Men and women respond to marijuana differently — that is not gender bias, it’s a fact.

Men are more likely to get munchies after smoking their buds whereas women are more sensitive to the general effects of cannabis on their health. Ladies also need less cannabis to experience its painkilling properties.

Need more examples? Let us talk about hormones. Did you know that the time of the month when a woman uses cannabis can affect the way she experiences her high? THC, the primary psychoactive compound in the plant, has been shown to have even stronger effects when estrogen levels are high. When estrogen levels reach their peak and begin to decline, that’s exactly the sweet spot for getting the most out of cannabinoids

Types of Compounds

When most people think of marijuana, they think of getting high. THC is responsible for such an effect. It works by acting like the body’s natural cannabinoid chemicals in the ECS. The brain has cannabinoid receptors that relate to the body’s memory, thinking, pleasure, perception of time, and coordination. THC, acting as a natural cannabinoid chemical, attaches to the brain’s cannabinoid receptors. This affects a person’s thinking, memory, and perception of time, as well as, produces a sense of pleasure.

Cannabinol is mostly found in aged cannabis plants. This is known as one of the minor cannabinoids because it is not as well-known as THC and CBD.

This compound is mostly found in older plants because it forms when tetrahydrocannabinol decomposes and oxygenates. CBN is formed when THC breaks down, and the plant is stale. However, just because CBN is from an aged cannabis plant does not make it any less useful than cannabinoids from younger plants.

CBD Strains

When scientists were first studying the cannabis plant many years ago, cannabinol was the first of the cannabinoids to be discovered

Charlotte’s Web

This is one of the best-known high-CBD strains. It contains around 13 percent CBD with little to no THC.

It is used in several health and wellness products to help ease anxiety, pain, and depression without any psychoactive effects.

Sour Tsunami

This was one of the first high-CBD strains ever bred and remains a fan favorite.

It has an average CBD THC ratio of 13:1 or even lower THC. Users report feeling relaxed and happy without that “heavy body” feeling.

Suzy Q

Suzy Q is not as high in CBD as some other strains. It comes in at about 11 percent CBD with little to no THC.

It is considered a good choice for helping to relax an anxious mind and tense muscles without getting you high or knocking you out.
